London museums 'great for kids'
Published: Thursday 19th of February 2009
London's museums are great for kids, it is claimed, with some in particular being perfect for a great day out.
The Cartoon Museum on Little Russell Street is one option, says Time Out, with its first floor sure to be a treat for children.
"[It] includes original artwork loaned by publications like the Beano and the Dandy," the publication says, adding that kids can try their hand at cartooning with "lots to make and do" in the museum.
Failing that, visitors to London can take their offspring to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum to get behind the scenes of one of the world's most famous tournaments.
Time Out says visitors will be able to "experience a Centre Court match from a players' point of view" and get up close to the trophies and the competitors' gym.
With the London Pass, people can save themselves £4 by getting free entry to the Cartoon Museum.
The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum also welcomes pass holders, who will save £15.50 per adult and £11 per child.
