Tourists heading out on a day of London sightseeing should not miss the chance to see the Jewel Tower, a fascinating attraction right in the heart of Westminster where visitors can learn all about the history of the English Parliament.
One of just two surviving sections of the mediaeval royal Palace of Westminster following the fire of 1834, the Jewel Tower was constructed in the 14th century to hold the treasures of King Edward III.
The building features a ribbed vault and is home to the Parliament Past and Present exhibition, as well as ancient ceiling carvings, making it a must-see for anybody interested in British history.
Additionally, the building is situated lose by Apsley House, another great destination for those who want to learn more about the past and art lovers alike.
As well as the famous Waterloo Gallery, Apsley House has a large collection of silver and porcelain, as well as a large statue of Napoleon.
