London attractions: Florence Nightingale Museum offers new audio guides

Those who want to learn more about one of history's most famous women should visit the Florence Nightingale Museum, one of many London attractions that provides insight into great British personalities.
The museum this year launched new and improved audio guides, researched and written by a team of experts. As well as adding a new perspective to Florence Nightingale's story, the guides are available in special adaptions for younger visitors to the museum.
Artefacts on show at the Florence Nightingale Museum include her medicine chest, which travelled with her to the Crimean War, the writing slate she used as a child and her pet owl Athena, which accompanied the nurse on her journey.
There are also a number of images and films that explain why the Lady with the Lamp is such an inspirational figure to nurses and care workers today, as well as a programme of free arts activities for children running throughout summer.
