London attraction the Cartoon Museum provides fun for adults and children

Published: Wednesday 13th of January 2010

Those visiting London and looking for something fun to do with their children should consider a trip to the Cartoon Museum.

The London attraction has a variety of displays of prints, drawings and watercolours and it also includes over 4,000 books on cartoons, comics and caricatures dating from the 18th century to the present day.

Rare and original artwork from the Beano, the Dandy and Topper are currently on display in the Cartoon Museum.

This month sees the end of the 30 years of Viz exhibition. The display of more than 80 original drawings from the adult comic features famous characters including Roger Mellie the Man on the Telly and The Modern Parents.

The London Underground station that is closest to the museum is Tottenham Court Road, which is serviced by the Northern and Central Lines.

Many other London attractions can be reached on the Northern line, including London Bridge and the Tower of London.
