London attraction targets science fanatics with new exhibition

Published: Monday 12th of July 2010

Next month will see one of the UK's most famed London attractions hosting a special exhibition dedicated to the science behind ships.

The HMS Belfast will host three Shipshape Science Summer Fun days on August 7th, 14th and 21st, where families are invited to explore the science behind ship building.

These drop-in workshops will run from 11:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 BST on the designated days.

The exhibition is part of the celebrations for the 350th anniversary of the Royal Society, which has partnered with the London attraction this summer.

No pre-booking is necessary, making the HMS Belfast exhibition the perfect stop-off option while tourists are travelling between other attractions, such as the City Cruises or the Royal Albert Hall.

These events will also complement the long-running Launch! Shipbuilding Through the Ages exhibition, which makes use of computerised interactive displays and engaging film to help enlighten visitors.
