London 'a city of quirky museums'
Published: Wednesday 18th of February 2009
London has its fair share of quirky museums, one travel writer recently realised.
Rick Steves notes the Bramah Museum of Tea and Coffee is particularly "fascinating" for those who are fans of the good old fashioned cuppa.
He also tells CNN that Pollock's Toy Museum is a must, describing it as a "funky old house in London" full of the pastimes of years gone by.
"A delight for kids and parents", he says, adding that visitors will be hard pushed to find anything with batteries and computer chips.
It has been in Scala Street for 40 years and includes everything from English dolls to teddy bears, folk toys from around the world to construction toys.
LondonPass Holders can visit Pollock's Toy Museum with a total saving of £4 per adult and £2 per child.
