Learn about ancestors' military history at London attraction

Published: Wednesday 27th of January 2010

People planning on visiting London attractions next month should consider a trip to the Olympia to see a mobile display from the Firepower Royal Artillery Museum.

The Olympia exhibition, event and conference venue's 2010 Who Do You Think You Are? Live event is taking place at the west London attraction from Friday February 26th until Sunday 28th.

At the Firepower Royal Artillery Museum's stand, visitors researching their family trees can discover if their ancestors were one of the more than two million men and women who have served as gunners since the Royal Regiment of Artillery was founded at Woolwich in the 18th century.

A Truprint Photography Gallery will feature at the event where visitors can have their old family photos dated, identified, preserved, digitised or restored.

Those who are not in the city on that particular weekend can still visit the Firepower Royal Artillery Museum and learn about the history of artillery, the scientific discoveries that have been made through warfare and stories of human courage.
