Henry VIII exhibition at London attraction

Published: Friday 10th of April 2009

A new exhibition of Henry VIII has taken residence at a London attraction and will be on show until January 17th 2010.

The Dressed to Kill exhibition at the Tower of London opened on April 3rd and will feature some of the finest examples of apparel from the King's wardrobe.

Many of the items were created by the king himself and celebrate the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII accession to the throne in 1509.

Pieces range from warring amour to those worn to impress, including jousting outfits and foot combat tournament equipment.

The exhibition appears over three floors of the historic White Tower and some items have never been seen in one place since the reign of Elizabeth I.

Tourists can see the exhibition at the Tower of London between 09:00 and 17:30 BST Tuesday to Saturday and between 10:00 and 17:30 Sunday to Monday.

Last admission to the tower is 17:00.

London Pass holder can receive free entry to Tower of London.
