HMS Belfast offers things to do in London this Easter with kids

Published: Tuesday 22nd of February 2011

This Easter promises to be a treat at London attraction HMS Belfast, which will be opening up its operations room.

Described as the "nerve centre" of the historic battleship, the whole vessel was once capable of being controlled from this small room.

The room has recently been reinvigorated with a range of interactive displays to enhance the experience of visitors.

New simulated radar and a real-life Pony Express exercise from 1961 will keep children and adults entertained at this London attraction.

Parents could combine a visit to this museum with a tour of one of London's galleries, such as the National Gallery.

A new collection of work by young offenders, entitled Inside Art, is running at the gallery until May 1st.

The project, which currently features work by the 30 young men involved, was set up to engage young offenders creatively and was developed in collaboration with HM Young Offender Institution Feltham.
