HMS Belfast exhibition 'a highlight of any visit to London'
Published: Thursday 12th of March 2009
HMS Belfast has a number of highlights, one of which being its Life at Sea exhibition, one website states.
It charts the history of the vessel and of shipbuilding in the UK and uses interactive displays to make it an ideal place to take the kids.
"We hope to educate and inspire visitors from all around the world with a reminder of its proud shipbuilding past and Britain's maritime industry, still vital today," Brad King, director of HMS Belfast, tells Venues and Events.
He adds that shipbuilding has helped shape Britain's position as a global superpower, with visitors invited to HMS Belfast to celebrate history.
The exhibition has a number of focuses, including science, engineering and the social history of shipbuilding, with people able to visit the attraction's website to see a timeline of events.
With the London Pass, visitors can save themselves £10.30 on the price of an adult ticket when heading to HMS Belfast.
