Free - Entry to 55+ Attractions: London attraction nominated for award

Tourists will have even more reason to take a trip the Science Museum among other London attraction visits, after the venue was nominated for an award.

The popular London attraction has been nominated for the Rough Guide Best Family Venue.

Those making their way around sightseeing favourites in the capital, such as London Zoo and the Tower of London, will no doubt be encouraged to add the Science Museum to their itinerary if they have not already done so.

Commenting on the nomination, head of audience research and advocacy at the museum Kate Steiner explained: "We are delighted that the Science Museum has been nominated in the Best Family category.

"We strive to ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are taken into account when designing services so that we create an inclusive culture - where visitors can fully enjoy our collections, exhibitions and events."

Other attractions shortlisted for the award include Legoland Windsor, the South Devon Railway and the Eden Project in Cornwall.
