Christmas fun in store at the Museum of London Docklands

Published: Tuesday 16th of December 2008

This coming festive season is a great opportunity to learn about some important London history, thanks to a top visitor attraction.

The Museum of London Docklands is offering a range of fun and informative activities for younger guests over the Christmas period.

From December 20th to 23rd visitors can make a Christmas pomander, a beautiful scented decoration using the kind of spices that used to be traded around the Docklands area.

On December 29th the public will have to chance to 'meet' Maeve Dawson, a Victorian pub landlady, who will share her incredible stories about what life was like a hundred years ago in this fascinating part of the capital.

Finally, on December 30th more tales are in store with the Sailor's 1000 stories event, followed by some Gingerbread puppet fun shortly after.

To keep the little ones happy over the holiday season, the Museum of London Docklands could be just the ticket.

LondonPass holders can gain free general admission to the museum, saving £5 for adults.
