Budding innovators visiting London attractions such as the Tower Bridge Exhibition or the Chelsea Physic Garden can make the most of their time in the capital by packing in a visit to the Design Museum.

The Sustainable Futures exhibition hosted at the museum will be offering visitors a wide range of displays focusing on eco-friendly and sustainable designs.

Some of the highlights at the event include the Energy AWARE Clock designed by the Interactive Institute, which is capable of measuring the amount of energy consumed in the household.

Also on display will be Christopher Raeburn's Digital Rainbow Collection, cleverly crafted out of old parachutes from the Ministry of Defence.

A fridge-cum aquarium capable of breeding freshwater fish and also growing herbs, designed by Mathieu Lehanneur, is sure to turn several heads at the exhibition.

Traveller's can also benefit from going to the press photography exhibition being hosted at the National Theatre, which is a celebration of outstanding pictures from the British media.
