Visitors to London might want to consider a trip to Windsor, no matter what the weather may have in store.

This is according to the Sun, which says it has a "picture-perfect skyline" and the ability to make visitors feel as though they are stepping back in time.

The imposing architecture of Windsor Castle is a top attraction to be seen, the publication suggests, as is nearby Eton College.

With a number of cultural delights on show, Windsor is sure to be a hit with shoppers and history buffs alike, it adds.

It promises tourists "boutiques, designer shops, coffee shops and restaurants" and a number of sites of historical interest along the way.

Visitors can enter both Windsor Castle and Eton College for free, saving £15.50 and £6 respectively.
