Published: Tuesday 30th of October 2012
When visiting London, it's highly advisable not to miss out on a visit to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, a building ingrained into the city's very fabric.
The theatre is just a stone's throw away from the Thames and is where the famous playwright put together some of his top plays. While the Globe has had extensive work, it still recreates what it would have been like for the bard.
Originally built in 1599, the Globe has been painstakingly restored to capture the essence of taking in a play during Elizabethan London.
The tour of the theatre also includes various guides and storytellers to keep you informed of everything you need to know about what life was like at the time.
As well as learning abut the origins of the building, visitors to the attraction will also be able to discover the trials and tribulations involved with restoring it.
Visitors with a London Pass can see the Globe for free, saving a sum of £12.
