Holidaymakers are choosing London as their destination of choice this year, figures have shown.
Research from Garmin reveals more than one-fifth of people will be heading to the capital for sightseeing over the summer.
"This poll certainly seems to suggest that parents are attracted to the culture of British cities and look set to continue to educate their children during the summer break," said Anthony Chmarny from Garmin.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson hailed the results, saying there are plenty of top London attractions including museums, galleries and great restaurants inspired from countries all over the world.
According to Accenture only 55 per cent of Brits plan to take a holiday in the next 12 months due to the economic situation.
