Published: Wednesday 29th of April 2009

The Tower of London is set to host a festival later this year, which will celebrate the best of art, culture and music.

It is to be held between September 10th and 20th, with top acts already confirmed to be performing.

Among them is Lesley Garrett, who is to perform Gilbert and Sullivan's the Yeoman of the Guard alongside the Fron Male Voice Choir.

Other performers include stars of Strictly Come Dancing Erin Boag and Anton du Beke, who will be showcasing ballroom and Latin routines.

"I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be working with Historic Royal Palaces and the Tower of London to bring what is arguably the finest classical music and arts festival," comments Harvey Goldsmith, the mastermind behind the festival.

He added that the Tower of London is one of the city's most iconic buildings, making it a great setting for the event.

With the London pass, visitors to the capital can go to the Tower of London while saving £16.50 on the price of an adult ticket and £9.50 on a child's.
