Things to do in London in May: Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo
Published: Tuesday 20th of April 2010
The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo is developing a reputation as one of the top London attractions for visitors from all over the world.
Just into its third year, the event provides a huge variety of attractions for all the family to enjoy in the private grounds of the impressive Windsor Castle.
This year's Royal Tattoo takes place from May 12th until 15th – and visitors will be hoping that there will be a welcome dose of spring sunshine to put the icing on the cake of this royal extravaganza.
And the great news for those who attend the Royal Tattoo is that it is entirely a not-for-profit event, with all proceeds going to the worthy cause of the Royal British Legion.
Highlights will include the famous Royal Navy Field Gun Run, reports windsor.gov.uk, and also the Household Cavalry mounted regiment, who are celebrating their 350th year in 2010.
With an amazing history spanning 1,000 years, Windsor Castle is an official residence of Her Majesty the Queen and is the oldest and largest occupied castle anywhere in the world.
