Save on sightseeing in London: Hollywood stars on hand to welcome royalty at film premiere
Published: Friday 26th of February 2010
Those visiting London attractions last night may have been lucky enough to spot the Hollywood stars Johnny Depp and Helena Bohnam Carter in the capital, who were out in force for the premiere of Alice in Wonderland.
Tim Burton's latest blockbuster was showcased in Leicester Square last night (February 26th), nearby to The Monument and other London sightseeing attractions such as Nelson's Column.
Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Barbara Windsor were all out at the event, despite the rain.
The actors warmly welcomed Prince Charles and wife Camilla to the premiere, to which Hathaway wore all white, despite the risk of being splashed with rainwater in the downpour.
Depp found himself the victim of the famed London rush-hour traffic earlier this week, when he was held up in a car with director Burton on his way to an interview with chat-show host Jonathan Ross.
The pair eventually opted to complete their journey on foot rather than staying in their vehicle.
