Save on sightseeing in London at St Paul's Cathedral poverty project
Published: Wednesday 17th of February 2010
People on the lookout for fulfilling things to do in London have the chance to witness the launch of a major project to tackle poverty, which is set to take place at St Paul's Cathedral.
The Global Poverty Project aims to increase the number of people around the world who are taking action to end poverty, and to improve the effectiveness of their work.
A presentation, entitled 1.4 Billion Reasons, has been created as part of the project, which is touring the world to further its cause.
Visitors to the capital who are touring some of the top London attractions over the coming weeks may be interested to note that the presentation is being given its UK launch at St Paul's Cathedral on February 24th at 18:30.
A sell-out is expected for the "simple yet groundbreaking" presentation, so people are encouraged to book their places online.
The current cathedral was built by Sir Christopher Wren between 1675 and 1710, after its predecessor was destroyed in the Great Fire of London, although a cathedral dedicated to St Paul has stood on the site since 604AD.
