London attractions: Learn about Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace

Published: Tuesday 12th of January 2010

Those visiting London who are keen on brushing up their knowledge of Tudor history should visit Hampton Court Palace's new exhibition, Henry VIII: heads and hearts.

The top London attraction's exhibition is centred around the famous Tudor king and includes new displays and events.

From April 10th, those visiting Hampton Court Palace will be able to take part in the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Henry's wedding to his sixth wife, Kateryn Parr.

A number of actors will be at the palace playing the king and Kateryn and many other historical characters.

Visitors will be able to help the queen-to-be to choose her wedding dress and commiserate with her jilted ex.

Another exhibition about the king, titled Henry VIII: Dressed to Kill, is currently taking place at the Tower of London.

The exhibition closes later this week on January 17th and showcases some of the world's rarest arms and armour, some of which was worn by Henry himself.
