London attractions: Festive fun at Eltham Palace and Gardens
Published: Friday 11th of November 2011
Eltham Palace and Gardens is preparing for a series of Christmassy delights.
If you're stuck for London attractions to take the kids to and get into the festive spirit this December, Eltham Palace and Gardens is holding a few events that should prove fun for all the family.
Every Sunday in December before Christmas, the venue will play host to a Festive Family Fun Trail, which invites kids to search the palace for hidden clues in order to solve a puzzle, with a delicious prize if they are successful.
As if that wasn't enough, Eltham Palace will also stage a Christmas carol concert in the Tudor Great Hall on December 8th, providing the perfect place to enjoy a mince pie and a glass of wine.
The rest of the venue is of course open for viewing during the month, and the building comprises a bewitching example of Art Deco architecture, including a grand entrance hall, a gold-played bathroom and the sleeping quarters of the Courtauld family lemur.
