Kensington Palace set for dance extravaganza

Published: Thursday 21st of May 2009

Kensington Palace will host a dance-filled event at the start of July, with everyone invited to join in the fun.

Set to take place on July 4th, the event will focus on 1950s dance styles to coincide with its exhibition the Last Debutantes 1958: Season of Change.

Kensington Dance Studios will be on hand between 11:30 and 14:00 BST to teach the cha cha cha and foxtrot, with the London Swing Dance Society taking over for the rest of the day.

It will be demonstrating rock and roll partner and line dances, during which participants can visit the Orangery for some much needed refreshments.

All of the events are free and for beginners, making them suitable for anyone looking for a great day out in London.

With the London Pass, entry to Kensington Palace is free, saving £12.50 on an adult ticket and £6.25 on a child's.
