Have a Shakespearian adventure for things to do in London

Published: Thursday 7th of June 2012

Visitors looking for things to do in London that delve into the history of the city should consider experiencing Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Tour & Exhibition.

The Globe, which was originally located a few hundred yards away from where it now stands, was rebuilt by the renowned American thespian and director Sam Wanamaker.

He founded the Shakespeare Globe Trust to help make this dream a reality, as well as creating a permanent exhibition dedicated to William Shakespeare and his work, and a permanent education centre to help new generations get to know the most famous playwright the world has ever known.

People heading over to London during the summer will be able to check out Mark Rylance in action, who makes his long-awaited return to the Globe.

The award-winning actor will be taking the lead role in a brand new production of Richard III, which documents his rise to power and his small but important reign over the country.
