Get your skates on and head to the Tower

Published: Thursday 20th of November 2008

One of the most iconic attractions found in London is to open its huge outdoor ice rink this winter.

From November 22nd until January 11th the Tower of London ice rink will open up for business once again.

From the seasoned show-off to the novice resembling a newly-born fawn, thousands of visitors from all over the capital and beyond will visit the rink this year to partake in some old-fashioned al fresco winter fun.

Set in the dry moat surrounding the Tower, there can be few ice rinks anywhere in the world which can boast such a dramatic and historic backdrop.

The Tower of London has stood proudly on the bank of the River Thames for the best part of a millennia and is the home to the priceless Crown Jewels.

LondonPass holders can enjoy free entry to the Tower of London, queue-beating fast track entry – all of which represents a saving of £16.50 for adults and £9.50 for children - and a 20 per cent discount at the Armouries Cafe.
