Finding what to do in London 'easy on a budget'

Published: Friday 11th of September 2009

Visitors to London who do not want to spend money will find there is plenty to do, it has been said.

The city is also geared towards people who want to spend a lot of money if they wish, noted communications director at Visit London Ken Kelling.

"We have some of the best five-star accommodation in the world, some of the most famous hotels in the world and some of the most luxurious places to shop," he continued.

The growth of budget hotels in London means there is "something for everyone", Mr Kelling suggested, as all tastes and spending limits are catered for.

A First Rate Exchange Services poll recently found that London was the main port of call for almost three-quarters (72 per cent) of international visitors surveyed.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace all ranked within the top ten places people visit when they come to the UK.
