Europeans 'flocking' to see London attractions

Published: Friday 24th of July 2009

London remains a hotspot for European tourists, one writer recently discovered during a wet day on the city's streets.

French, Dutch, German and Italian tourists were just some of the nationalities Nick Curtis came across, he told the Evening Standard, with scores of students marvelling at top London attractions.

Reciting to the writer what was on the agenda for the day, one student from Brittany said they were to visit "Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's and Tower Bridge".

Mr Curtis noted how the popularity of London attractions had changed over the years, but the more traditional locations still remain as popular as ever.

One way of seeing as much as London as possible with little expense is by buying the London Pass, which gives free entry to over 55 of the best attractions.

When bought with a travel card, finding your way around the city is made much easier.
