Details of Windsor Castle assassin go online

The details of over a million criminal trials in England and Wales - including an attempt to assassinate Queen Victoria at Windsor Castle - have been published online.
Over 10,300 capital executions are included on the new site, while 900,000 instances of imprisonment and 97,000 transportations also feature.
"These registers testify to the fact that crime and punishment was and always will be a controversial subject," commented Ancestry.co.uk managing director Olivier Van Calster.
He added that the "colourful nature of crime" is expressed in the documents, which feature a number of notorious crimes including those of Jack the Ripper.
