Carol service at historic castle 'one of the highlights of the season'

Published: Friday 21st of November 2008

One of the most-loved visitor attractions in the London area has been recognised for its Christmas carol service.

Well worth a visit at any time of year, Windsor Castle's annual celebration of Christmas song has been recommended by a national newspaper.

The Guardian has highlighted Carols on the Hill, which takes place on December 19th in front the historic Windsor Castle just a few miles west of London, as one of the key services to attend this winter.

Writer Anna Tims says: "The Band of the Life Guards, glorious in red cloaks and flat hats, will blast Christmas cheer from the gates of Windsor Castle and anyone can turn up, grab a service sheet and join in."

The service will begin at 1800.

LondonPass visitors can warm themselves (and perhaps their vocal chords) up in preparation for the carol service by enjoying free admission to Windsor Castle, saving £14.80 for adults and £8.50 for children
