Britain's summer events 'the key for tourists'
Published: Sunday 17th of May 2009
The vast number of events taking place over the summer is likely to attract overseas tourists, it is claimed.
Spokesperson for VisitBritain Elliot Frisby said that the internet will prove an invaluable resource for anyone wondering what is going on throughout the country.
"What we are particularly focusing on this year is our events calendar and the fantastic range of the summer sporting seasons that they can enjoy here," he continued.
Summer music festivals are also likely to attract visitors, Mr Frisby believes, with the American market in particular being attracted to the various events.
London has a wide variety of top attractions for people heading to Britain this year, with many of them free of charge with the London Pass.
Among them is the world-famous St Paul's Cathedral, with the pass giving an £11 discount per adult and £3.50 per child.
