Become an attraction at the Tower of London

Published: Wednesday 21st of January 2009

Visitors to the Tower of London will not only be able to look at the fabulous monument this year - they will be able to become part of the London attraction themselves.

Throughout 2009, this famous building will play host to a series of historical re-enactments and many of these require audience participation.

Those with a romantic view of the age of chivalry will be pleased to hear that from February 14th - Valentine's Day - until the 22nd time will switch back a few centuries to the reign of King Edward I.

Famed for his exploits in war, this king has a slight problem - he needs new knights.

Interested parties should attend the Knight School, where they will learn the knightly traits of humility, piety and, of course, weapons training.

The school will run in front of the Medieval Palace at 11:30, 12:30 and 14:30, and on the South Lawn at 12:00, 13:00 and 15:00.

Purchasing a London Pass provides free admission to the Tower of London as well as many other London attractions.
