All Black royal appointment at Tower Bridge

Published: Friday 28th of November 2008

The New Zealand rugby union side met the Queen at a key London landmark earlier this week

Located adjacent to the world-famous Tower Bridge, a giant inflatable rugby ball was the venue for the royal event, as players and staff greeted Her Majesty.

The ball is part of a new campaign to promote tourism in New Zealand and the All Black team, who are to meet England on Saturday for the last round of the autumn international test series, were on hand to make an appearance.

Designed by Horace Jones and John Wolfe Barry and completed in 1894, Tower Bridge took 432 workers eight years to build.

Visitors to this historic part of London can enjoy another key attraction – the Tower Bridge Exhibition, which gives an insight into the history of one of the capital's best-loved structures.

LondonPass holders can receive free admission to the exhibition, saving £6 for adults and £3 for children.
