London visitors 'come for range of attractions'
Published: Monday 25th of May 2009
The range of London attractions open to tourists is what draws many to the capital, one tourism expert says.
Whether they want to see the history and heritage of the capital or experience arts and culture, London historic buildings and museums have something for everyone, explains Jacqueline French, senior PR manager for VisitLondon.
"People come to London for a whole range of reasons," she commented.
"You may come to visit one thing and then you might see something else and it just enhances the whole experience."
The fact that London attractions are kept at their best is also important to visitors, Ms French added.
According to a survey by the Best of Britian and Ireland 2009 show, the London Eye is the top tourist attraction.
Earlier this month it was announced that the giant ferris wheel, situated on the south bank of the Thames near Waterloo, will undergo a £12.5 million refurbishment.
A London Pass can give visitors to the capital great savings on London attractions.
