London attractions: Visit the Courtauld gallery for paintings, sculptures and prints

The Courtauld Gallery is one of many fantastic options for art lovers looking for things to do in London.
Its wide-ranging collection encompasses paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and decorative arts from the gothic and medieval era right up to the present day.
The sculpture collection ranges from antiquity to the 20th century, with examples displayed throughout the gallery.
Highlights include Paul Gaugin's marble head of his Danish wife Mette, along with world-famous bronzes of ballet dancers by Edgar Degas which are displayed with the artist's paintings.
Stone and bronze works by Henri Matisse, Auguste Rodin and Cesar are also featured in the collection.
Those interested in drawings and prints should not miss a visit to the Courtauld Institute of Art, which houses one of the most significant collections of works on paper in the country.
This includes masterpieces by artists such as Michelangelo, Rubens, Rembrandt, Cexanne and Turner.
