London attractions: Bridget Riley exhibition at National Gallery

Published: Friday 26th of November 2010

Visitors to London's National Gallery can see the work of "one of the most significant and original painters of our time", after an exhibition of the work of Bridget Riley opened this week.

Running between November 24th and May 22nd 2011 in the Sunley Room, this collection showcases some of the artist's most recent paintings, while two of her latest creations will be made directly onto the walls of the space.

Although this exhibition is free, people with a London Pass can get access to other events and exhibitions going on at the National Gallery, including a 60-minute audio guide that takes visitors through some of the building's most famous works.

Bridget Riley herself is a keen patron of the gallery, often using it as a source of inspiration during her days as a student. She has requested Mantegna's Introduction of the Cult of Cybele to Rome to be included in her exhibition.
