London Attractions: The National Portrait Gallery is always a good bet
Published: Saturday 8th of September 2012
Famous for being the first portrait gallery in the world, the establishment has been enriching peoples' lives since 1856.
One new exhibition continues its rich tradition of promoting the arts, making this a brilliant experience for people on a mission for cultural things to do London.
The first exhibition, starting in October, is entitled The Lost Prince: The Life and Death of Henry Stuart.
It is the first time a show has been assembled in such a way, examining the life and times of this fascinating original.
"Brave, handsome, clever, athletic, noble and cultured, Henry embodied all the princely virtues," the gallery explains.
"In his short life he was the focus of great hope and expectation, not just in Britain but in all of Protestant Europe, and his court was the centre of a revival of chivalry and a renaissance in the arts."
Save time and money sightseeing in London with cheap entry to top attractions in London.
