Published: Saturday 5th of July 2008
Fans of art might want to use their London city pass and take the opportunity to visit one of the most fascinating exhibitions of 2008.
Held at London's Tate - one of London's best attractions - between September 11th 2008 and January 4th 2009, is an exhibition of the works of Francis Bacon, one of the most outstanding artists of the last century.
Bacon's style is famous for its unusual depiction of both animals and humans - among his most popular works include Man in a Cap and Study after Velázquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X.
"Francis Bacon was one of the greatest painters of the twentieth century and this unmissable exhibition will bring together the best and most important paintings from throughout his turbulent life," said the Tate.
Born in 1909 in Ireland, Bacon lived until April 1992.
London Pass holders who enjoyed this exhibition can receive free entry to the nearby Kew Bridge Steam Museum.
