Things to do in London: Visit the living time capsule of Eton College

The ancient college has a long tradition of being one of the most exclusive educational establishments in England.
Having kept many of its traditions since King Henry VI established the college in 1440, the school is like a living time capsule, with scholars still sporting the original school dress of black tailcoats and pin striped trousers.
Originally set up for the purpose of educating 70 of the poorest scholars in the country, the school now takes in boys from many of the most elite families in England.
Nineteen former British prime ministers were educated within these walls, not to mention a whole host of influential figures over the centuries.
Visitors to Eton can visit the famous Cloisters, the oldest classroom in the college and the historical College Chapel.
