Florence Nightingale is something of a legend in the nursing world, so much so that she has her very own attraction: the Florence Nightingale Museum, which gives plenty of food for thought for visitors looking for things to do in London.

She was one of the most influential women in Victorian Britain and led the nurses who where caring for thousands of soldiers during the Crimean War.

The museum also contains an array of memorabilia used by Florence Nightingale. These include the slate she used as a child, the Turkish lantern used in the Crimean War, and the clothes she wore.

This collection spans the life of this famous nursing legend and gives visitors an insight into the historical details behind her legacy.
