People looking for things to do in London will find that there is a hidden gem around almost every corner, with one example being the elusive Jewel Tower.

Originally built to house the treasures of King Edward III back in 1365, it was once known as the King's Privy Wardrobe.

One of the reasons that it is so relevant for history buffs today is that it was one of just two buildings from the medieval Palace of Westminster to survive the fire of 1834 - the other being Westminster Hall.

The tower features a fascinating 14th century ribbed vault - a delight for architecture fans.

There is also a great exhibition covering the extensive history of Parliament called 'Parliament Past and Present'.
