The Fan Museum among the coolest London attractions
Published: Thursday 23rd of May 2013
Not only do visitors get a unique chance to delve into the history of fan-making, but they can also marvel at the wide variety of designs on display.
Fans were often seen as a status symbol in the Victorian era and they were also used as ceremonial tools and fashionable accessories.
The museum holds a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions - the latter of which changes every four months.
Not only does the attraction offer guests the chance to see some of the rarest fans, it also features intricate and beautiful works of craftsmanship.
In addition to the displays, visitors can take a walk around a 'secret' Japanese garden which contains a fan shaped parterre, pond, stream and oriental architectural features.
