Skate in style at the Queen's Ice Rink

Do you know what I love most about the colder seasons? Ice skating! There's nothing quite like gliding across vast swathes of snowy-white ice and getting lost in the sensations of it all.
So if you are travelling down to London this autumn, why not check out the fantastic ice rinks that are on offer?
One of the best places to go is the Queen's Ice and Bowl. Not only is it the place to skate on ice, but it also makes for a really nice day out.
Ice skating sessions run throughout the day with an evening break. But this is no ordinary ice rink. The Queen's Ice and Bowl is equipped with state of the art colour change lighting, special effect light shows and climate control.
It also boasts of providing the best real ice pad for ice skating in London. But one of the best things about skating here is the potential to meet celebrity guests.
That's right, while you're skating, you may also get to meet famous faces such as Dickie - the international TV royal commentator, who regularly skates at Queens and is chairman of Queens Ice Dance Club.
The ice rink has also made an appearance on the Ant and Dec TV show, and was once used by former Dancing on Ice judge Angela Rippon, who used the venue to practice her skating skills when she was due to reappear on Dancing on Ice as a contestant.
Representatives from Queen's Ice Rink were also selected to participate in the British Junior Championships, which was held at the National Ice Centre in 2007.
The venue has appeared on the BBC, after film crews from the broadcaster came down to interview Croatian athletes who were participating in the World Cup in 2006.
So if you want an action-packed, fun filled time at the ice rink then there is hardly a better or more 'happening' place to be.
The venue also includes bowling facilities, karaoke sessions and places where you can grab a bite to eat and drink.
It is also worth noting that London Pass holders are entitled to a free session of bowling or ice skating at the venue.
