London attractions: Visit King Edward I at the Tower of London

The Tower of London is one of the premier London attractions, cutting an iconic figure on the city’s skyline, and it is currently hosting historical re-enactments designed to transport visitors back in time.
From January 2nd 2013 visitors are invited to enjoy costumed interpretation and historical special events as they enter a long gone world of gallant knights and breathtaking damsels, tyrannical aristocrats and robust peasants.
Visitors will be transported to the time of King Edward I at the time he was extending his fortifications and royal lodgings.
They will find this re-enactment in the Medieval Palace from 11:00 to 15:30 GMT.
People who love getting lost in history can also pay a visit to the Medieval Storytelling attraction where they can sit back and hear the same tales of heroism and tragedy that entertained the court of King Edward I all those years ago.
