London attractions: Visit King Edward I at the Tower of London
Published: Friday 28th of December 2012
The Tower of London is one of the premier London attractions, cutting an iconic figure on the city’s skyline, and it is currently hosting historical re-enactments designed to transport visitors back in time.
From January 2nd 2013 visitors are invited to enjoy costumed interpretation and historical special events as they enter a long gone world of gallant knights and breathtaking damsels, tyrannical aristocrats and robust peasants.
Visitors will be transported to the time of King Edward I at the time he was extending his fortifications and royal lodgings.
They will find this re-enactment in the Medieval Palace from 11:00 to 15:30 GMT.
People who love getting lost in history can also pay a visit to the Medieval Storytelling attraction where they can sit back and hear the same tales of heroism and tragedy that entertained the court of King Edward I all those years ago.
