London attractions: The Churchill War Rooms transport visitors back to the 1940s

This unique museum allows visitors to discover the original Cabinet War Rooms, with a number of features having been left untouched since V-Day in 1945. This was where Churchill and his minister would conduct business when things above ground became too dangerous.
Highlights include the very chair where Churchill presided over meetings which features scratch marks on the arms - no wonder, he was under a lot of pressure.
Guests can explore the wartime bunker that looked after Winston Churchill and his government during the terrifying Blitz, and find out about the secret history that still remains underground.
The war rooms also feature the stories of people who worked underground while London was being blown apart above them.
What's more, people with a particular interest in Winston Churchill will be delighted by the interactive Churchill Museum.
