London attractions: Tate Modern hits headlines following new exhibitions
Published: Saturday 11th of May 2013
The Tate Modern is undoubtedly one of the most renowned of all of the London attractions which explore art and culture in the UK.
It is host to all of the major modern art movements and contains works by many of the world's most famous artists.
These include Picasso, Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Matisse among others. The gallery recently hit the headlines for one of its current exhibitions, which is the first full-scale documentation of the works of Mira Schendel (1919-1988).
Schendel is one of Latin America's most important and prolific post-war artists. Other exhibitions currently on at the Tate Modern include Ellen Gallagher: AxME. The Ellen Gallagher exhibition was also in the headlines this week and explores the concepts of race and beauty.
If you're planning on a trip to the Tate soon, then also be sure not to miss out on the Saloua Raouda Choucair exhibition which explores the amazing work of the Lebanese artist.
