London attractions: Take a step back through history at the Jewish Museum
Published: Sunday 14th of April 2013
If you are looking for things to do in London this month, it is well worth going to visit the Jewish museum which has a number of exhibitions for visitors to enjoy.
The museum was founded in 1932 by professor Cecil Roth, Alfred Rubens and Wilfred Samuel and today stands as an important cultural landmark which celebrates the Jewish culture, heritage and life.
It helped to develop a widely recognised programme dedicated to educating visitors about anti-racism and the holocaust.
One of its current exhibitions is a talk by author Ruth Joseph, about her book 'Warm Bagels and Apple Strudel'. It contains a number of different mouth-watering recipes of Jewish recipes.
In fact, if you go along to the talk, you may even get a chance to sample some of the dishes, as the author, along with her daughter, will be bringing along some of the dishes as well as a cake.
Guests will also get a chance to see an exhibition called: History: a British Story which looks at British Jewish history since 1066.
