If you've ever wanted to peer into a narrowboat cabin or sail the seven seas and are looking for things to do in London then the Canal Museum is ideal.
Here visitors can learn about the lives of those who worked on the waterways, and how the canals came to be.
Guests can also learn about the huge Victorian ice well which was used to store ice imported from Norway.
The museum is also known for its educational activities and provides resources for schools, parents, children and teachers.
On the first Thursday of each month, a series of illustrated talks take place at 7.30pm to give more insight into the history of the canals which snake through London.
Visitors can also take advantage of tunnel trips by boat through Islington Tunnel on to Regent's Canal which are organised by the museum.
In July 2008, the museum became the proud holder of the Tourism for London scheme.
