London attractions: Relive medical history in the Old Operating Theatre Museum

No other attraction gives as much of an insight into the progress of modern medicine than the Old Operating Theatre Museum.
This 300-year-old herb garret houses Britain’s only surviving operating theatre, in which unlucky patients underwent surgery without anaesthesia or antiseptics.
The famous attraction has also been host to TV series such as From Hell, as well as other movies and shows.
But one highlight not to be missed is the 200th anniversary celebration of John Snow and his scientific contributions to anaesthesia and medicine.
A talk will be given on March 15th about the history of his life, while on March 16th there will be a talk on the infamous practice of body snatching.
The museum also hosts a series of regular talks and activities throughout the year.
