Published: Thursday 7th of March 2013

If you want to take a look behind the scenes of the Queen’s mounted guards and are on the hunt for interesting things to do in London, then look no further than the Household Cavalry Museum.

Visitors are given the unique chance to hear the personal stories of those who work with the Royals, and will also be able to see some of the rare artifacts and displays that have never before been seen by the public.

Highlights of the attraction include the chance to view the collection of precious and rare treasures from ceremonial uniforms, as well as the preserved objects left by William IV.

So much history is preserved within the walls of these museums and they give guests an interesting insight into an important part of the cultural heritage of Britain.

The museum also contains an archive and education facility which holds extensive records of individual soldiers who served in the different regimens within the Cavalry.
